PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food cutting roller of a food cutting device, in particular a cheese cutting device. SOLUTION: Cutting teeth are formed on a periphery of this food cutting roller, and the roller is rotary driven to cut foods into flakes. At least two sets of cutting teeth are formed on a periphery of the cutting roller to constitute an array extending in a width direction of the cutting roller, and a plurality of cutting teeth in the array are formed at equal intervals in a peripheral direction of the cutting roller. Each set of cutting teeth are arranged along a virtual spiral extending on a peripheral face from one side face of the cutting roller to the other side face. Each set of cutting teeth have a first cutting tooth, a second cutting tooth, a third cutting tooth and a fourth cutting tooth sequentially arranged adjacent to each other in a width direction of the cutting roller. An air reservoir groove shaped into an indentation in a rotational direction is formed on a front side face of the first cutting tooth faced in a rotational direction of the cutting roller. Overall height of the second cutting tooth is lower than that of the first cutting tooth, and overall height of the third cutting tooth is lower than that of the first cutting tooth, but higher than that of the second cutting tooth.
