PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil decontamination method which enables the treatment of soil with specified microorganisms propagated, reduction in the propagation of the microorganisms, and maintenance of the controlled propagation in a bio-remediation method for decontaminating soil by decomposing decomposition resistant harmful substances by using microorganisms. SOLUTION: The soil treatment method includes a process for propagating microorganisms decomposing organic substances in soil contaminated with the organic substances, a process (1) for heating the soil, and a process (2) for treating the soil with a soil disinfectant or a process (3) for seeding filamentous fungi, bacteria, and streptomyces in the soil.
