PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washer-dryer which can dry washing by a wind volume and a calorific value suitable for quality of cloth of washing. SOLUTION: This washer-dryer discriminates whether quality of cloth has high water absorptivity or not and changes drying conditions of a blower fan and a heater to wash and dry cloth made of a chemical fiber etc. weak against heat or cloth made of cotton comparatively strong against heat to dry the cloth by a calorific value corresponding to the kind of cloth to prevent harming the cloth. A volume of cooling water is supplied corresponding to difference of vaporizing water volumes by difference of kinds of cloth to dry washing by optimum drying time to suppress waste consumption of water.
