An automatic guide apparatus for a public transport which automatically recognizes momentarily changing situations around a public transport such as an automobile and automatically guides a operating route such as a road. A comparator (4) of on automatic guide apparatus (1) for a public transport compares image data and audio data. on the situation around an operating public transport acquired by an input device (2) with image data and audio data stored in a database. When the results of comparison of image data and audio data shows an agreement, a recognizer (5) recognizes the data contents. An output device (6) informs the driver of the recognized results in the form of a text, image, and speech.
