The invention relates to a multi-purpose cleaning cloth (1) which is characterised in that it comprises: a flat surface which cancels out the grip force by adapting perfectly to the hand; a central stop element (2) across the width thereof, which emerges from the aforementioned surface, is positioned between the fingers so as partially to cover same and which can co-operate with the fingers in order to provide improved axial transmission of the force parallel to the hand; and two projecting elements (3) which are each equipped with a slit (4) that is used to hook a wrist strap (5) therethrough. The pads, sheets or abrasive materials are held in place by means of gluing with multiple adhesion or using a self-adhesive material on the inner face of the cleaning cloth or, in one embodiment thereof, through the use of small tips which are equipped with balls that are attached to the thicker abrasive pads. The smaller models do not comprise the aforementioned projecting elements (3) or straps (5) and are positioned in the palm of the hand.
