PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacity reducing method for a developer storage container capable of reducing the capacity of the flexible toner storage container to nearly a fixed shape, and to provide a developer replenishing device and an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: When air or the toner in the toner storage container 70 formed of flexible material is discharged by the replenishing device, the capacity of the toner storage container 70 is reduced while controlling the reduced capacity shape by a projecting part 94 arranged on a container holder 90.
