<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method allowing users to easily retrieve or save a variety of information on articles to be managed, at the stages of its production, processing, distribution and the like, in a small space and at low cost, anywhere at any time. <P>SOLUTION: An identification label 2 indicating two-dimensional code information is imparted to an article to be managed. The two-dimensional code information displayed on the identification label 2 is read by the digital camera 5 of a portable communication means such as a cellphone 3. The information read is transmitted by a data transmission means to a data analysis center 7. The information received by the computer 8 of the data analysis center is subjected to a primary process and two-dimensional code analysis.
