PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical receiver, which is easy-to-manufacture, the property of which is stable and which is resistant to noise. SOLUTION: In the optical receiver in which a light receiving element 1 and a drive circuit element 2 are arranged on a frame 3 and molded with resin 4, a protruding frame 6, which protrudes in the direction substantially perpendicular to the extending direction of a lead of the frame on which the light receiving element 1 is mounted, is provided, and the protruding frame 6 has a through-hole 61 for exposing the light receiving surface of the light receiving element 1 and a flat plate section 62 covering the drive circuit element 2 and at the same time, has a structure in which the protruding frame 6 is bent so as to sandwich the light receiving element 1.
