PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering method of a slot body with a press-wrapping tape for efficiently manufacturing an optical cable by deleting a coarse winding process by replacing it with marker tape winding, and reducing working load in recycling. SOLUTION: In the covering method of the outer circumference of a slot body 12 housing optical fibers in optical fiber housing grooves 11 with the press-wrapping tape 13, the tape 13 is wound around the slot body 12 while longitudinally attaching the tape 13 to the slot body 12. Then, the marker tape 17 is wound around the press-wrapping tape 13 with a constant pitch to hold the tape 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
