PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pit cover opening and closing device allowing a service life to be extended by smoothly and noiselessly opening and closing a pit cover in which a cabtire cable is stored and capable of coping with an increase in speed of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In this pit cover opening and closing device in a vehicle, a groove-like pit 15 is formed along the running direction of the vehicle, a feeding body such as the cabtire cable 12 is stored therein, and the upper opening part of the pit is covered by using the pit cover 17 divided into multiple parts. The pit cover 17 is drivingly opened and closed in response to the running of the vehicle to feed a power from the feeder to the vehicle. An angle arm 21 extracted from the vehicle side is disposed in the pit 15, and a large number of guide rollers 23 are rotatably disposed on the upper surface of the channel arm 21. A cable 24 with a high friction coefficient is endlessly disposed all around the periphery of the arm 21 along the peripheral surfaces of the guide rollers 23. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
