PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for roll members capable of safely conveying the roll members when the two roll members are placed in parallel on a load carrying platform and a third roll member is stacked on the roll members and the three roll members are conveyed. SOLUTION: The protector comprises a plane part 1 approximately square; an holding part 3 of the roll member situated at the central part of the plane part 1; and a rectangular frame-shaped side wall part 2 connected to the peripheral edge part of the plane part 1. Engaging parts 11 mutually engaged when the protectors are vertically superposed with each other are situated on both sides of the surface of at least one side wall part 2. A distance S(mm) from a central part along the length direction of the side wall part 2 of the engaging part 11 is set to S = (1/4) x L + (0-10) when a length of the side wall part 2 extending along the length direction is set to L.
