PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient sealing performance by preventing damage of a seal, in the seal for sealing a roller bearing having a cruciform joint. SOLUTION: In the seal 9 mounted to a shoulder 22 on the root side of a trunnion 21 of a spider 2, a large-diameter cylindrical part 96 of an annular core metal 91 non-contactly covers an outer lip 92 from the outer diameter side and radially and non-contactly overlaps on an outer ring cup 6 of the roller bearing 3, thereby forming an overlap region 97. Additionally, a sealing structure having three stages is formed together with the lips 92 and 93, so that mud further hardly penetrates into it and the performance of the seal 9 is improved.
