PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pressure losses when a fluid is sucked in a compression chamber in a scroll compressor, and to improve the volumetric efficiency of the scroll compressor. SOLUTION: An inner lap surface (64), an outer lap surface (65) and a bottom land (66) are formed on a fixed scroll (60) of a scroll compressor. The inner lap surface (64) is slidably brought into contact with an outer surface of a movable side lap (52). The outer lap surface (65) is slidably brought into contact with an inner surface of the movable side lap (52). The bottom land (66) is slidably brought into contact with a tip of the movable side lap (52). A recessed part (70) is formed on a fixed side flat plate part (61) of the fixed scroll (60) at the position in a vicinity of an end part on the outer circumferential side of the inner lap surface (64) and also in a vicinity of an end part on the outer circumferential side of the outer lap surface (65). The recessed part (70) is formed in a recessed shape with one stage lower than the bottom land (66). The revolving moving side lap (52) is moved so that an end part on the wind-terminating side crosses the recessed part (70). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
