摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device for construction machinery for properly controlling the revolution of an engine independently of the size of engine loading torque. SOLUTION: A regulation characteristic setting part 50b of an engine controller 50 previously sets regulation characteristics for a high speed region, a medium speed region and an idling region using matrix functions f(A1), f(A2), f(A3) and selectively sets them corresponding to a reference target number of revolutions N<SB>R</SB>. The target number-of-revolution computing part 50c inputs the reference target number of revolutions N<SB>R</SB>and its regulation characteristic and engine loading torque T obtained by a pump controller 40 and calculates the target number of revolutions N<SB>O</SB>of the engine 10, and a target fuel injection amount computing part 50d inputs a target number of revolutions N<SB>O</SB>and an actual number of revolutions N<SB>d</SB>of the engine 10 detected by a revolution sensor 51, and computes a target fuel injection amount M<SB>O</SB>to control an electronic fuel injection device 12.
