INK RIBBON LOADING METHOD AND LOADING GUIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of loading an ink ribbon which facilitates the operation of loading the ribbon and can surely load the ribbon. SOLUTION: The method for inserting the ink ribbon into a gap between a printing head and an opposite platen for loading the ribbon includes the steps of inserting and placing the loading guide formed of a sheet material into a tongue form into the gap between the printing head and the platen to cover the platen, inserting the ink ribbon into the gap between the guide and the head, and thereafter drawing out the loading guide to load the ribbon.
