Production and workplace planning method for machines and workstations plans a layout for machines, workstations, storage locations and movement of materials

Several three-dimensional models to be fitted in a production area or workplace are generated according to scale. These models are laid out or visualized on a two-dimensional scale plan of the production area or workplace. Pre-defined criteria apply an evaluation to this layout. The models are produced by a rapid prototyping computer method, e.g. with computer-aided design (CAD).
