COMPACT AUTONOMOUS DRINKING WATER AND ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

The invention relates to a compact autonomous drinking water and electrical power supply system. The inventive system comprises a sea water desalination plant employing reverse osmosis and a generating set which are both mounted in inner, independent compartments of an essentially-prismatic, transportable container (1) which can be disposed in any location, said container comprising ventilation means for the corresponding equipment and/or apparatuses. The aforementioned desalination plant comprises a sea water collection pump (15), a sand and cartridge filter (16), a high-pressure pump (17) which conveys the water to the reverse osmosis module (18) and a chemical cleaning pump (21). The diesel generating set (10) is provided in order to supply electrical power to all of the apparatuses and equipment of the desalination plant as well as to the internal and, if necessary, external lighting for the container (1). The invention is particularly suitable for use in sparsely-populated coastal areas with a scarcity of drinking water.
