<p>An apparatus for wrapping an object with a stretchable foil hood has a pair of gathering fingers engageable upwardly into the foil hood, two gathering wheels outside the foil hood, rotatable about gathering-wheel axes, and engageable with the hood, and respective counter rolls inside the foil hood, aligned with the gathering wheels to pinch the foil hood, and rotatable about counter-roll axes below the respective gathering-wheel axes. The gathering wheel are rotated while in contact with the foil to form the foil into downwardly and outwardly extending folds.</p> |
