摘要 |
PURPOSE: A method for controlling a data writing speed in an optical disk device is provided to control a data writing speed by decreasing the data writing speed or changing the data writing speed to a specific speed based on frequency of writing fails. CONSTITUTION: A control unit sets and enters a data recording mode to write external input data received through interface with a host on a rewritable compact disc(S10). The control unit sets a data writing speed as a user writing speed transmitted from the host, and starts a high speed data writing operation(S11). The control unit detects buffer under-run of a data buffer, and counts frequency of the buffer under-run(S12). It is judged whether a count time passes a predetermined time(S13). It is judged whether the frequency of the buffer under-run exceeds frequency preliminarily set(S14). If so, the control unit decreases the current data writing speed by one step or changes the data writing speed to a specific speed(S15). If not, the control unit maintains the current data writing speed(S16).
