The lid (1) for a coffee pot (6) having a glass container (4) includes an annular part (10) presenting an annular throat (11) comprising an interior annular wall (12) and one external annular wall (14). One or more protuberances (15) are formed on an annular zone extending on the interior face from the external annular wall, the annular zone being arranged between the free end of the annular wall external and the connection of the handle (2) with the annular part. The annular part is connected to the handle by a peripheral crown (21) that is separated from the annular part on the level of the annular zone as far as the free end of the external annular wall, as far as 45 degrees on the circumference of the lid on both sides of the handle.
