In the present invention, there is disclosed a method for determining fundamental and accompanying elements in ferroalloys in which some of the fundamental elements is present in an amount greater than 25 percent by weight wherein the method is characterized in that in a sample of a ferroalloy to be analyzed an exact amount of pure iron is added after the sample is first crushed wherein the addition is performed so as the amount of element forming a predominant part of the ferroalloy is less than 25 percent by weight of the total weight of the sample. Subsequently the sample is melted, homogenized, cooled to ambient temperature, and using atomic emission quantometer a percentage of weight amounts of fundamental and accompanying elements is determined.
