1,051,332. Polyurethane filaments. AMELIOTEX Inc. July 4, 1963 [Aug. 14, 1962], No. 26647/63. Heading B5B. [Also in Division C3] Filaments and fibres are prepared from polyurethane solutions which have been made by reacting a polyurethane prepolymer with a moderately fast reacting chain extender in a first step and then with an acyclic diprimary amine in a second step (see Division C3). In a typical example, (1) a pigmented polyurethane solution was forced through a spinnerette haying 0À005-inch orifices and submerged in a 25% aqueous dimethyl formamide bath. The semiplastic monofilaments were brought together to form a coalesced filament which was washed and dried and wound on a spool. |
