Lubricants may contain boron-nitrogen compounds obtainable by the reaction of BR3 or (R2BH)2 with R1CN of probable formula <FORM:1058804/C4-C5/1> wherein R is an alkyl or cycloalkyl radical and R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical.ALSO:The invention comprises compounds of general formula (NH.BR2.CR1)2 wherein R is an alkyl or cycloalkyl radical and R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical, obtainable by the reaction of a compound having the general formula BR3 or (R2BH)2 with a compound of the general formula R1CN. Preferably the radical R1 is mono- or polysubstituted by alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy or nitro groups, and/or halogen atoms. The reaction is preferably effected at a temperature between 50 DEG and 200 DEG C. The novel compounds appear to be 1,4 - diaza - 2,5 - diboracyclohexa - 3,6 - dienes of the general formula <FORM:1058804/C2/1> |
