This invention relates to a process for the preparation of S-( l -Aminoalkylamino)alkyl aryl sulphide dihydrochlorides, and particularly for the preparation of S-2 (2- aminoethylamino) ethyl phenyl sulphide dihydrochloride as a new and effective antidote against Sulphur Mustard. The process comprises in the step of condensation reaction of aryl mercaptan and l -amino alkylamino alkyl bromide dihydrobromide in presence of an organic base in an organic solvent, followed by conversion to hydrochloride salt followed by precipitation and crystallisation.
