PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector for a flat conductor which allows connection to a terminal in any face of the flat conductor. CONSTITUTION: In this electric connector for bringing a freely openable and closable pressure member 40 into a closing position to bring a conductor part of the flat conductor F into elastic contact with a contact part of the terminal 20, the terminal 20 is provided with a main arm part 22 comprising the first arm part 24 extended from a base part of the terminal in an inside of a housing 10 toward an opening part 12, and the second arm part 25 extended along a direction same as that of the first arm part 24, the flat conductor F is insertable between the first and second arm parts 24 and 25 of the main arm part 22, the terminal has sub-arm parts 27 and 33 extended from at least one of opposed edge parts of the first and second arm parts 24 and 25 of the main arm part 22, and the sub-arm parts are elastically deformed around a connection area to the main arm part as a fulcrum, by a moving operation to the closing position of the pressure member 40, so as to press the flat conductor F by its end part.
