PURPOSE: A method of allowing users to watch multimedia images through TV sets with different sizes and a mobile terminal used for the method are provided to watch moving pictures and still pictures displayed on a mobile terminal, images photographed by a camera phone and streaming images obtained by a streaming system through an analog TV or digital TV. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal includes a memory allocation controller, a decoder(108), a frame memory(110), and a memory scan unit(114). The memory allocation controller allocates a frame memory in consideration of the kind of a TV and the CPU performance of a phone. The decoder adaptive-decodes a motion picture file using a decoding parameter to output a video frame. The frame memory stores the video frame output from the decoder. The memory scan unit scans the video frame stored in the frame memory on the basis of the CPU performance and scan line information of the TV to output RGB signals.
