PURPOSE: A system and method for managing a parts-list of components is provided to improve an efficiency of a materials management business being executed in each managed company by collectively and integrally managing a parts-list of components of each manufacturing company. CONSTITUTION: Databases of each component are constructed(S10). An Internet site for informing the constructed contents is constructed(S11). Member companies for requesting a management of parts-list are collected(S12). If the member companies supply basic information through the Internet, the basic information is stored in a server, an ID and a password are designated to each company, and a network is constructed(S13). If a parts-list managing program is received on the network, the program classifies materials and makes a data sheet(S14). A completed data sheet is uploaded on an Internet site with a managing program and supplied to the member companies(S15). If the managing program and the data sheet are received in the member companies, the managing program is communicated with the server and the parts-list are automatically modified(S16). The managing program is operated whenever the parts-list are inputted, materials are searched, and a purchase is requested(S17).
