PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing a polyester twisted yarn which involves excellent elasticity and thermal stability, and is well adapted for use in making a product with hackly tactility. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a polyester twisted yarn comprises the steps of: twisting a shaped yarn with a circular cross section or two or more protrusions to give twists of 400-1500/m to the yarn; heating it at 150-210 deg.C; and false-twisting it in the twisted direction.
