HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM USING HYDROGEN STORAGE ALLOY AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A heating and cooling system using hydrogen storage alloy and a control method of the same are provided to form the system without an outdoor unit by applying technology using hydrogen storage alloy to an existing heating and cooling system, and to prevent sudden increase of temperature in the system when the system stops. CONSTITUTION: A heating and cooling system includes a housing(100) having air inlets(111,112) and air outlets(121,122); a pair of reactors(210,220) mounted in the housing to face each other, and charged with hydrogen storage alloy; a hydrogen channel tube(300) connected with each of the reactors to allow hydrogen to flow therein; a pumping unit(400) connected with the hydrogen channel tube to forcibly feed hydrogen; a hydrogen flowing guiding unit(800) connected between the hydrogen channel tube and the pumping unit to determine direction of forcible feeding of the hydrogen; blowing units(510,520) forcibly blowing air flowing in the housing; an air flowing guiding unit placed between the reactors to guide flowing of air having exchanged heat; a temperature sensor(700) installed in the housing to measure temperature in the housing; and a control part controlling operation of the components based on the temperature in the housing measured by the temperature sensor.
