PURPOSE: A method for transmitting/receiving data between a mobile terminal and an information center in a navigation system is provided to automatically access the information center when the mobile terminal is disconnected from the information center, and to continuously work on data, thereby continuously carrying out data works. CONSTITUTION: A controller stores selected destination setup information in a memory(40), and checks whether a destination lower item is received(41). If so, the controller displays the destination lower item(43), and checks whether the destination lower item is to set a final destination(44). If so, the controller transmits finally set destination information with current position data to an information center(45), and downloads the transmitted data(46). The controller checks whether path induction data is completely received(47). If not, the controller checks whether the information center is disconnected(49). If so, the controller stores the received data information(50), and transmits a re-connection message with information on the received data to the information center(51).
