PURPOSE: A method for protecting a user's hearing sense in a mobile communication terminal is provided to generate a preliminary sound for a bell sound just before the bell sound is produced from a speaker, in order to protect the user's hearing organ by holding back the generation of the bell sound, thereby separating the terminal from the user's hearing organ. CONSTITUTION: When a call request signal is received, a mobile communication terminal informs a user of the call request signal as an alarming sound by holding back a bell sound. The mobile communication terminal informs the user of the call request signal by displaying the signal on a display window or an LCD. The mobile communication terminal generates a preliminary sound for the bell sound just before the bell sound is produced from a speaker, in order to protect the user's hearing organ by holding back the bell sound ringing by a telephone call.
