PURPOSE: An image forming system of an electrophotographic printer and an image forming method using the system are provided to stably transfer an image on a photosensitive drum to paper through a medium transfer unit. CONSTITUTION: An image forming system of an electrophotographic printer includes photosensitive drums(Dc,Dm,Dy,Ck) on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, a developing unit(23) for developing the electrostatic image with a developer in a predetermined color, and a transfer belt(24) to which the developed image is transferred. The image forming system further includes the first image electrifying unit(30) for electrifying the image transferred to the transfer belt to increase electrical adhesion of the image to the transfer belt, the second image electrifying unit(40) for electrifying the image to reduce electrical adhesion of the image to the transfer belt, and a transfer unit(26) for transferring the electrified image to paper.
