PURPOSE: A folding partition type reading stand possible to be extended on top of a desk together with a sheet of plastic cardboard and/or to be folded and positioned above the desk is provided to maximize spatial utility of the desk and improve concentration on study. CONSTITUTION: The folding partition type reading stand(10) comprises a supporting plate(11) located on top side of a desk plate(2); two partition panels(12,13) connected at right angle to form an open tetragon shaped structure; sickle shaped brackets(11a,11b) mounted up and down at rear side of the supporting plate(11) to extend toward front side of the plate(11); sickle shaped connections(12a,13a) fastened up and down at outer side of the panels(12,13) and to extend below the brackets(11a,11b); and a hinge pin(14) to joint the respective brackets(11a,11b) and the connections(12a,13a). The reading stand(10) further includes a sheet of plastic cardboard(20) having a book stand(21) to be entered in an insert(16) attached to the supporting plate(11) in a removable manner.
