PURPOSE: Movement of a wiper out of a front pillar in a high speed operation is prevented by linking two link rod with a shape memory alloy wire. CONSTITUTION: A link rod reciprocates repeatedly between a motor pivot(14) in output side of a wiper motor and a head portion(18) of a pivot shaft. The link rod is formed of two link rods(16a,16b). A shape memory alloy wire(32) is connected between two link rod. The shape memory alloy wire is constricted when a current is applied to maintain a pulled state of the connecting portions. A hinge amount toward a front pillar in a high speed wiper operation is smaller than a low speed wiper operation by applying current to the shape memory alloy wire.
