PURPOSE: An air vent with a cover is provided to prevent foreign matters from entering a duct of an air-conditioning system of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An air vent(10) includes a duct(11) guiding air into a car room; a grill(12) installed on an end of the duct; guides(21) installed on both sides of the grill; a cover(20) lifted up and down along the guides, and having a rack gear formed on an inside thereof; a pinion gear engaged with the rack gear; a motor rotating the pinion gear; and a touch switch part(34) operated by a user to open and close the cover, and installed to a lower part of the cover. Normal rotation, reverse rotation and stop of the motor are controlled by the touch switch part, a full-open micro switch, a full-close micro switch and a motor control part. The full-open micro switch is operated by a cover fully opened to reset output of the motor control part so as to stop the motor. The full-close micro switch is operated by the cover fully closed to reset output of the motor control part so as to stop the motor. The motor control part comprises a relay controlling rotating direction of the motor and a flip-flop or a timer keeping output signal.
