PURPOSE: An optical system having a PCCR(Polarization Converting and Color Recapturing) integrator is provided to reduce the optical loss by using a rotating prism as a color scroll device. CONSTITUTION: A light source(100) is comprised of a light lamp(110) and a parabolic reflecting mirror(120). A PCCR integrator(200) maintains an irregular light beam irradiated from the light source(100) in a polarized direction by separating the irregular light beam into P-polarized and S-polarized lights, transmitting one of the P/S-polarized lights, shifting a phase of the remainder, and re-transmitting the phase-shifted light. A color bar filter(300) separates colors of the phase-shifted light from the PCCR integrator(200) and adjusts an amount of colors. A rotating prism(400) scrolls a color by using the amount of colors to form an image.
