PURPOSE: An optical scanning apparatus is provided to prevent the degradation of performance due to temperature change by manufacturing optical components with plastics having thermal-resistant characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A light deflector(70) has a plurality of deflection surfaces(70a) for deflecting a light beam outputted from a light source(20). An image optical system projects the light beam deflected in the light deflector(70) on a surface(10) to be scanned. A mirror member(50) images the light beam from the light source(20) on the deflection surfaces(70a) in a long linear shape to a main scanning direction. A collimating lens(30) is provided between the light source(20) and the mirror member(50) in order to change the light beam in the form of a divergence light into a light beam in the form of a convergence light or a parallel light.
