MAGNESIA-BASED REFRACTORY CASTABLE

摘要

PURPOSE: A magnesia(MgO)-based refractory castable as a plaster applied to the inner walls of furnace and molten steel bath(tundish and ladle) is provided to increase cleanliness of steel and protect inner walls. CONSTITUTION: The MgO-based refractory castable comprises 49-80wt.% of magnesia(MgO), 10-50wt.% of tricalcium silicate(3CaO-SiO2) and 1-10wt.% of micro silica as a binder. The prepared castable captures Al-based oxides and S in molten steel to improve the quality of steel and protect molten steel bath.
