PURPOSE: A client-oriented caller image information service method and system is provided to display a caller's image information through the screen of a receiver's terminal so that the receiver can easily and exactly confirm the caller's identity. CONSTITUTION: A caller ID management server receives a caller's image information from an originating terminal(S300) and stores it(S310). Then the caller ID management server receives a call connection request signal for a terminating terminal from the originating terminal(S320). In response to the received signal, the caller ID management server provides caller text information having the caller's phone number, previously stored in a client text information DB, to the terminating terminal(S330). Then the caller ID management server judges whether caller image information corresponding to the caller's phone number is stored in the terminating terminal(S340). In case that the caller image information is previously stored in the terminating terminal, the terminating terminal displays the previously stored caller image information(S350).
