PURPOSE: An integrated time lapse VCR having a security function is provided to divide security-related video signal, record the divided signals and output the recorded signals through a monitor. CONSTITUTION: A time lapse VCR having a security function includes a power supply(10), a CRT driver(40), a quad sprite board(60) and a VCR(70). The power supply provides AC voltage to components of the VCR. The CRT drive provides analog data captured by multiple cameras and controls a CRT to output a video output signal corresponding to the analog data. The quad sprite board separates Y/C signals from the analog data provided by the CRT drive, digitalizes the signals, and quad-sprites the digitalized data to store the data in a memory. The quad sprite board provides the quad-sprite video output signal to the CRT drive. The VCR records the quad-sprite video output signal on a cassette tape.
