PURPOSE: Shim mounting structure of a disk brake for a vehicle is provided to prevent a shim to be mounted the disk brake from being moved by friction torque of a pad and a disk. CONSTITUTION: Shim mounting structure of a disk brake for a vehicle comprises a pad(12) as structure for attaching a friction material(12b) on a side of a back plate(12a), and a shim(22). First fixing holes(15), in which a part of the friction material is inserted, are formed to the back plate. The shim is attached on the other side of the back plate. The shim forms a clip part(25) to be inserted closely into the inner peripheral surface of the first fixing hole. In the clip part, second fixing holes are formed to each position of the shim corresponding to the positions of the first fixing holes, and an inner periphery part of the second fixing hole is bent toward the first fixing hole.
