PURPOSE: A blood cell deformability sensor is provided, thereby rapidly detecting the deformability of blood cells using a small amount of blood, and simultaneously detecting deformability of each blood cell in the wide range of shear rate and force. CONSTITUTION: A blood cell deformability sensor comprises a fluid mixer(13); a blood injecting device(11) which is connected to the fluid mixer and contains a buffer solution; a buffer fluid reservoir(12) connected to the fluid mixer; a sample reservoir(14) which stores a mixed liquid sample; a flow restrictor(21) which is connected to the sample reservoir and induces resistance to the flow of fluid; a fluid collector(23) which is connected to the flow restrictor; a vacuum generating device(40) connected to the fluid collector; a light positioned in one side of the flow restrictor; an image obtaining device which receives image from the flow restrictor exposed to the light; a processor(51) connected to the image obtaining device and calculating shear force and blood cell deformability; and an output device(54).
