PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing a pole plate for battery having an improved elongation ratio, which can improve life property of the battery when applied as component of battery. CONSTITUTION: The method comprising continuously providing a substrate(23) filled with an active material(21), calendering the substrate, and cutting the calendered substrate(23) by desired size, is characterized in that the substrate(23) passes between a pair of rollers(25,27) having gear teeth positioned with regular intervals, and thus cut and calendered simultaneously. The interval of the gear teeth is consistent with size of the cut substrate. The engaging intervals of the gear teeth are smaller than thickness of the substrate when each gear teeth formed on the pair of rollers(25,27) is engaged with each other.
