FIELD: petroleum refining industry, composition and process of treatment of well and critical area of formation by means of microbiological attack. SUBSTANCE: composition according to various variants of content of components includes hydrocarbon oxidizing bacteria, nutrient medium of nonionic surface active substance or its mixture with anionic surface active substance, water and complex additive which is waste of grain- processing factories with following proportion of components, per cent by mass: hydrocarbon oxidizing bacteria 0.3-0.6; complex additive 0.3-0.6; nutrient salts 0.1-0.4; nonionic surface active substance or mixture of nonionic surface active substance and anionic surface active substance 0.1-0.3; yeast 0.05-0.1 or no yeast at all; water being the balance. Process of treatment of well and critical area of formation includes successive injection of nonionic surface active substance and biological reagent, technological curing with subsequent removal of mud grouting products and plugging agents, heating of solution of nonionic surface active substance to 60-80 C before injection, driving of solution of nonionic surface active substance into hole clearance and of biological reagent into critical area of formation with aqueous solution of nutrient salts.
