FIELD: veterinary virology, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: inactivated vaccine against foot-and-mouth Asia-1 type comprises virulent and purified antigenic material as immunogenic (146S + 75S) components of foot-and-mouth virus Asia-1 type, strain = 1737/Georgia/2000, adjuvant and supporting medium taken in effective ratios. The strain is deposited in collection microorganism strains in VGNKI at registration number = 1737/Georgia/2000/DEP. Virus is reproduced in suspension culture of cells VNK-21. Aminoethylethyleneimine in the concentration 0.025-0.05% is used as an inactivating agent. For purification of antigen suspension from inert impurities polyhexamethylene guanidine in the concentration 0.005-0.007% is used. For preparing the adsorbed vaccine aluminum hydroxide gel and saponin additionally are used as adjuvants and oily adjuvant is used for preparing emulsion vaccine. For preparing the sorbed vaccine antigenic material with content of immunogenic (146S + 75S) components of food-and-mouth virus, at least 2.0 mcg/ml and emulsion vaccine 4.0 mcg/ml. Invention provides the enhancement of immunogenic activity of vaccine against foot-and-mouth virus Asia-1 type circulating in Transcaucasia and Near Eastern countries.
