FIELD: processes of continuous casting - rolling of steel strips. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes at least one or several plants for continuous casting of steel slabs; furnace designed for heating and(or) homogenizing slab and at least one unit for rolling in order to reduce thickness of slab fed from furnace; welding unit arranged between continuous casting plant and rolling aggregate in order to join all slabs. Furnace is divided by zones; welding unit is arranged between furnace zones with possibility of motion together with slab. Method is realized with use of such apparatus.
