FIELD: organic chemistry, medicine, energetics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in preparing anticancer preparations, ecologically pure nutrition sources, diamond films and superconducting materials. Method involves treatment of 1000 g of schungite containing 2-98 wt.-% of carbon with an organic solvent representing azeotropic mixture of aromatic hydrocarbons with water. It is possible to use derivatives of benzene taken among the order C6H5-R wherein R is hydrocarbon radical comprising 1-3 carbon atoms as aromatic hydrocarbons. Treatment is carried out at constant stirring at 80-85 C for 240-300 h and then mixture is separated and extractant is filtered off. Filtered off extractant is evaporated in recirculating regime. Isolated precipitate is roasted at 250-350 C up to preparing 96-98% of the basic substance. Method provides preparing 0.007-0.45 g of mixture of fullerenes containing 96-98% of C60 and C70.
