A heat carrying fluid for heating and maintaining the temperature of the product located in a tank (1) circulates in a primary circuit (3) and is heated in a coil (2). A secondary circuit (13) reheats and maintains the temperature of the bitumen spreading manifold (11). Diversion of the heat carrying fluid in the primary circuit to the secondary circuit is made by a diversion valve (5) comprising inlet and outlet orifices from the primary circuit and orifices supplying the secondary circuit and serving as returns. An independent claim is included for a diversion valve.
