PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility event monitoring system transmitting a content and occurrence time of abnormality occurred in a facility being an object of monitoring to a portable telephone set or a management terminal by an electronic mail and informing a facility manager of it. SOLUTION: In a step S1, a control circuit of an event data collection device judges whether abnormality occurs or not. When it occurs, a channel where abnormality occurs, the abnormality content and occurrence time data of abnormality are stored in a memory of the control circuit as event data in a step S2. In a step S3, event data is transmitted to the portable telephone set or the management terminal trough an Internet communication network as the electronic mail. In a step S4, event data is repetitively transmitted by the electronic mail. In a next step S5, the event data collection device judges whether abnormality is restored or not. When it is restored, abnormality restoring data is transmitted to the portable telephone set or the management terminal by the electronic mail in a step S6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
