摘要 The invention comprises a handheld apparatus and a method for pulse measurement. It is characteristic of the invention that an apparatus is used for pulse measurement which is provided with one or more information-communication means, such as a display for pulse signal visualization or a force-feedback system for pulse signal pressure transfer or a sound generator for acoustic data presentation. The force-feedback system transfers the measured artery pressure changes, which are used inter alia as a basis for the calculation of the pulse, to the fingertip of the user who uses the pulsimeter. The force-feedback module can transfer the pressure signal in a programmable amplification degree, which means that even very weak pulses can be sensed via the force-feedback system. An integrated display is capable of displaying the pulse signal and selected parameters, such as the standard deviation of the measurement, in real time, thereby giving the user optimum information from the measuring procedure. Thus, the invention allows a large number of individual-specific pulse-based items of information to be derived in a simple and reproducible measurement, it being possible to use the measurement results in connection with an evaluation of the health of the individual.
